Manual Winding Mechanisms

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
MRG Manual Winding Mechanisms are manufactured within the company from high quality materials. The MRG gearbox is machined from stainless steel thus providing for maximum strength and minimum wear characteristics. Phosphor bronze bushes allow for ease of cable movement no matter how tortuous the route to the isotope projector. MRG Manual Winding Mechanisms can be made to suit most major types of source projector.

FRAME:

Robust stainless steel construction with tubular frame and cross bracing.

GEARBOX:

Stainless steel case and drive gear. Phoshor bronze bushes.

HANDLE:

Stainless steel radial arm with reinforced thermoplastic folding handle.

ODOMETER:

As an aid to identifiying source position, an odometer can be fitted as an optional extra.

INNER DRIVE CABLE:

Teleflex helical flexible steel cable, as used by most major suppliers.

OUTER CABLE:

Yellow multi-layered metal/polyvinyl with a PTFE liner provides for maximum ease of movement and protection for the drive cable.

CONTROL CABLES:

The inner and outer cables are supplied to provide a standard 25' operating length. However, lengths can be varied up to a maximum of 50'.
