Regarding Temporary Re-Classification

of Gammarid 192/40 & 192/120 Isotope Projectors

Container Approval Certificate RU/041/N/B(U)-85

The above certification expired 05/03/2002

C. S. Products (Testing Equipment) Ltd has made numerous efforts to have the above certification re-newed for an additional five years.

Due to changes affecting the Russian Federation it has been almost impossible to make contact with the relevant department responsible for the certification, now we are in dialogue with ICC Nuclide and Minatom to have this rectified.

We are awaiting a decision regarding the renewal of the certification for the above projectors.

Until this matter is resolved, C. S. Products (Testing Equipment) Ltd has no alternative but to issue Type 'A' certification for the projectors
(see 'Transport Certificates').

The Type 'A' certification allows the use with Iridium¹⁹², Selenium⁷⁵ and Ytterbium¹⁶⁹ Special Form Sources to the following maximum activities;

Iridium¹⁹² - A₁ (Special Form)(TBq) 1^C (27.0Ci)
Selenium⁷⁵ - A₁ (Special Form)(TBq) 3 (81.0Ci)
Ytterbium¹⁶⁹ - A₁ (Special Form)(TBq) 4 (108Ci)
