Gammarid 192/40

The Gammarid 192/40 is a remote controlled 'straight-through' shutter type source projector. The depleted uranium shield is sealed in a titanium case and is protected by titanium shutter and locking mechanisms. The source holder is contained within a tungsten shuttle, which eliminates the radiation 'shine-path' associated with similar types of source projector. The Gammarid also benefits over the 'S' Type container in its ability to be connected to Pipe Crawler Systems thus forming a high activity Gammahead (Max. 81 Curies Se75). When used in tandem with the CSP GammaDrive, the Gammarid provides a fully automated, portable system for enclosure or site operation. Gammarid provides a full range of equipment, which complies with all current and proposed known legislation.
